MIX117 = fire. I used a butane candle lighter on my organza ribbon....at a HEALTHY distance before I was labeled the "Neighborhood Arsonist".
QFTD259 = Ann( annsforte3) I was inspired by this card of Ann's since I have the same image. Hers is more elaborate than mine and monochromatic which mine is not. Ann has a lovely gallery and is one of the kind cardmakers who leaves many thoughtful and encouraging comments for others.
A BIG congrats, Ann......enjoy your special week.

A very beautiful card. I love the poppies and the crumbled-heated ribbon. I used to do that a lot. Now that I saw yours, it has reminded me to use my heat gun on my ribbon. Have a great weekend.

Wow, an amazing card, Sallie, that combined all three of these terrific challenges. The gingham and poppies look like they were made for each other.

Sallie, I would still call this MOSTLY monochromatic, since your gingham and the colors you used for the poppies are similar, after all, flowers can't have "colored" stems. Thanks for the reminder about SAFELY heating your organza ribbon - I know I still have some of that in my ribbon bank - LOL! A very lovely Birthday card indeed!

Your poppies look fantastic with the gingham! I never would have thought of putting the two of them together! You're a genius, I tell ya! Love your card!!!!!!!!
