I'm late getting down to the farm for this week's MMTPT351 challenge - but here I am. I was spoiled for choice when it came to suitable stamps, in the end I picked out this chicken.
For my base, I used some patterned paper with blue for the sky, adding gesso as it was quite vivid, and for the foreground I thought some green gingham tissue added a suitable rustic look.
Hen stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with a mixture of Sakura pens to act as a resist, Polychromos pencils and blue and green re-inkers.
For the wire panel, I stamped it with Versamark, embossed with silver and sponged with green, brown around the edges. Cut a rough square a bit smaller than my image panel, and tore and curled back the edges. With a nod to the TLC earlier this week, I used a brush pen to draw lines on both the wire panel and the main panel. It has to be confessed that when I draw borders, even when I want them to wobble a little, I still use a ruler (so they only wobble in one direction ;-)), but today I free-handed them.

Wow Sabrina this is brilliant. I thought it was real chicken wire LOL. Thanks for the detailed description. Your free hand lines are great and I love little cross lines, reminds me of barbed wire.

Super cute! Love that chicken bursting out to "chicken in". The silver embossed chicken wire adds a clever touch. Your doodling is great! Good job with the challenges. TFS

I am so far behind, but catching up little by little!! LOVE the PB chickens, especially this sneaky one, peeking through the grass! Clever girl, "ripping" through the chicken wore fence - and the plaid "hills" behind really look great! Perfect sentiment - have to remember to look for this image!
