This is for Linda's fun Ways to Use It challenge - decorate the inside of a card.
I have a box full of inky backgrounds that are a bit weird and their use it not always obvious. Sometimes it is just a matter of time, waiting for a background to find its home.
Linda's challenge was the perfect inspiration to combine a die cut front with a werido arty background. I made a pocket on the very back to hold a message.
I made this by cutting black cardstock, scoring and folding to make a 5" x 5" card. I positioned the die on the front panel, diecut, then put it back in place.
After taping the diecut back in place, I cut the die out once more from a 5" square piece of black cardstock, I then carefully cut the patterned section out leaving the 1/4" circle frame in tact. I then adhered it to the inside of the front panel.
Thank you for looking.

How fabulous, this reminds me of Jan Pienkowski (spelling??) and the beautiful silhouettes against marbled backgrounds that he did as book illustrations. As a girl I had one of his posters on my wall for years. You found the perfect home for your orphan background.

WOW Susie you are so creative and to add the pocket for the card very clever. Love the BG, Love the silhouette die cut, love the colors. I need to get more BGs created so I can have some fun BGs like this just to have ready for cards. It would save me lots of time. Great job on this beautiful card!

Oh my this is SO inspired! What a lovely creative mind you have! I adore silhouette stamps but this die really knocks my socks off. What a wonderful combination of fantasy image with fantastic background. Superb!
