Today's F4A challenge was to bring April showers or May flowers. I went with May flowers. The magnolia trees and red bud trees are coming out where I live and definitely have me in the mood for flowers. The image is something I got off of pinterest. I think it is a Hyacinth, but I am not sure. I really enjoyed coloring it, but it was harder than I thought it would be. Once I started coloring all the flowers started blending together and I couldn't hardly tell where one bloom ended and another began. I cut the frame out twice so I would have the negatives in the purple color to inlay into the frame. I added the pearls (love pearls!) to give it a nice, soft finished touch. I'll add a sentiment later in the bottom right hand corner when I figure out what I want it to be. Hope you like it.
thanks for looking!

Geni, your coloring of the hyacinth flowers is BEAUTIFUL!! No blossoms lost here...and what great shading and highlighting......making them part of one larger blossom and not all the same....that's what makes it look so realistic. A gorgeous card.

What a great job you have done on the image, Geni. Sometimes these clusters can be difficult but when it is all finished things just seem to fall in place and look perfect. I think that is what you have done here. Just beautiful!

Wow, another gorgeous card. I love this pretty calming color combo, and you have colored your flowers beautifully. The pearls are a very pretty addition. I love it. tfs.

Your blooms turned out beautifully! And I love that the entire card is in purples! Cutting the frame twice to inlay the colors was really effective. Love it!
