After many false starts and a full trash basket, I decided, I can make a card, but only God can make a shaft of light with such beauty. I needed to quit trying to be a perfectionist and just upload, so I went to the room where I take all my pictures and accidentally (yes it was) captured some light on my card. This time I think the picture is prettier than the card.
I stamped on the cardstock, glued the olive vellum over the top and also stamped the Penny Black flower on the vellum. Lastly I ran part of the entire thing through my embossing machine. The embossing is my attempt at a shaft of light.

WOW, Carol this is awesome!!! I love that you referenced God as making the real rays of light. It's neat that you took your time and had an open mind to see this gift that God and you created. I think the whole experience must be very rewarding. Very cool!! Thanks for sharing your journey. :>)

What a novel approach to light, Carol and I LOVE it! You even managed to get the embossing to fade without leaving a harsh line. I like the use of the vellum to soften the image too. What a terrific card!
