Another card for Janelle's MIX115 Woolly Dots challenge - this one took me way out of my comfort zone.
I tried the faux wool felt but I don't think I succeeded very well - maybe my cotton wool wasn't quite right. Anyway, it worked out ok enough to use...
Scribbled yellow and orange gelatos on white card and used a baby-wipe to mix them down. I've never had much luck before with this leaf stencil, but this time I inked it and used it to stamp with and liked the result. The leaves were cut from an old pair of jeans and stitched on, then I stitched my cotton circle on , finishing it off with Stickles on the outer edge and pearls in the centre. I stamped the sentiment, then edged the card with Versamark and white EP, then added the chunky EP. Lastly I added the butterfly.
I know the verse looks crooked - measured with a ruler it's not, I think it's just that I deliberately used the leaf stencil at an angle...ho hum.

Your faux wool is AMAZING!!!!!!! You must see it, it's gorgeous! Sorry, the mess is kind of unavoidable, but containable at least. What did you use to color your cotton?
