This is the card I created for this week's Teapot party. We were challenged to bring flowers in every color, flowers of any shape and size. Bring baskets and buckets of flowers, bring wheelbarrows too. Lots of cheerful and colorful blooms is what we need this week. Our cards are going to Katie, niece of our own Pam McKay. She needs some serious cheering up, due in part to taking a nasty fall from a ladder that resulted in leg injuries requiring surgery.
I think this qualifies as bright!
The image was stamped in VF Onyx Black and embossed with clear ep. It's colored with Distress Markers scribbled on a palette and painted with a water brush and Spectrum Noir markers. I added some Gelly Roll Stardust pens to the spidery blooms and random flower centers and Stickles to some of the others.
I used an SB border die to trim the bottom and cut the sentiment from the discard. The card is fronted with a glossy cs layer; the image is attached with Sookwang tape and the sentiment with Multi Medium.
I had a lot of fun making this as cheerful as I could. I hope it brings Katie a smile!
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow, Jody, bet all these bright, happy colors bring a smile to Katie!! I thought you DOODLED that whole thing, until I read that it was stamped - reminded me of how we used to while away the time in school, ddodling on the edges of our notebooks!! Love how you did a thorough mix of bright colors, and then added some sparkle too! Love how the "hello" stands out from the black die cut corner!! Awesome, psychedelic looking card - you are the new Peter Max!

You really do use complex images and how beautiful this turned out! You watercolored this? Your colors are so intense! Love the idea of the word cut from the discarded piece. How fun this is!

Wow, Jody - that sure is some colouring - and what a clever way to do the sentiment, letting the base layer show through the negative. This must have taken ages but is bound to brighten Katie's day so much.
