This card was made for the Technique Lovers Challenge, TLC528 Cluster Stamping (4/6/15). The challenge was to cut a shape using a die or punch and use the negative space (the throw away part!) as a stencil. The open space was to be stamped with clusters of stamps so that the space was defined and filled.
I chose a cloud die to provide the stencil shape to fill. Because this is WAY outside of my comfort zone, I opted to sponge the edges of the aperture to define the space so that I wouldn't have to rely on my limited talent for collage/cluster stamping. The stamps I used for the cluster stamping were beachy stamps that I've collected through the years that haven't seen much ink. It went against my nature leave the images uncolored, but I allowed my inner Embellishment Princess to have some fun with 3-d page pebble decorated with a bit of tiny gingham patterned paper, and wee rhinestones colored with a sharpie marker.
My intent was to have the single cloud cluster on the card front but I made a boo-boo stamping and had to disguise it, so I added another cloud shape as a sentiment panel. To finish the card, I added a pop of beachy color with an embossed panel in SU Pool Party.
Many thanks for popping by and looking at my Blue Skies & Sunshine beach cluster card!

This is such a clever design. Love the beach scene you've created on the cloud ... the little bit of gingham with the pebble over top add a fun element.

I love the result! My first thought about the layout was "how very clever" and the second one was "hey, I have most of those stamps." And reading your write-up I do believe we must be related in some way, lol. TFS
