MIX114 - First I want to thank Hostess: Jeanne S for a fantastic challenge that took me way out of my comfort zone. This Heartfelt Creations Poinsettia was cut out on acetate. This is also the second set as the first set I tried to color with distress inks and well ink all over the place thinking it was dry I tossed it and started all over. So to try to cut acetate out of die cuts you will need to add a shim and run through many times to get it to cut and you still may need to do a bit of hand cutting/trimming. Then once I got it cut I added the color. First I colored with tattered angels red spray once dry I added the 3D Viva stamp paint. While it was all drying I created my card, paper pierced the first white layer, stamped the Heartfelt Creations holly pattern on the first red layer, then ran the top white layer through the poinsettia EF. Finally I added the red and white trim and mounted.
Once all was dry I shaped and mounted the flower, added the ribbon and bell. Then my sentiment is part of the Heartfelt Creations BG stamp that I embossed in black and mounted on a silver shimmer to pick up the silver in the ribbon and bell. I think that was all the steps.
CCC15 - Yeah day 3 in April and I have a second Christmas card done and this one has a flower and there was just a bit of hand trimming.
F4A267 - Ok, I know I have already done a couple of flowers today but this one is just over the top. LOL!
Thanks for looking!

Lisa, your acetate poinsettia looks so fabulous on screen, and I am sure even more so in real life. I'm surprised you had such trouble cutting the acetate, I don't usually need to persevere as much as you did!

Your big red flower goes perfectly with the small flower ef... what a pretty combination. I love the big red acetate flower with all the silver accents. Someone will be lucky to get this in December.
