I was Thrilled when my close friend Loll Thompson invited me to be her Guest Designer for her Happy Little Stampers April CAS Challenge: Stenciling:-) Loll knows how much I love to stencil and she has encouraged me by sharing many of her Silhouette cut stencils with me (and other friends):-)
I had done a Watercolor Bokeh BG earlier and had this piece leftover. I thought it needed something extra so I Stenciled the finished piece by sponging the Chevron Stencil with Pumpkin Pie ink. I loved the effect. I could not stand to cover up the piece so just added a linen thread bow and candy dot.
Even the die cut "hello" was a leftover. I cut 2 more layers and glued them all together to add more depth. I thought the tiny strip grounded the hello nicely...another leftover.
Loll's HLS April CAS Challenge: Stenciling Be sure and check out all the awesome tutorial links for Stenciling that Loll is providing too besides her gorgeous DT Sample. You have an entire month to play as often as you like :-)
Accessories: Reinkers, Palette tray, spritzer, handmade circle stencil, aqua pen, Silhouette chevron stencil (gift from Loll), sponge dauber, SSS Small hello die, Wink of Stella over main image, linen thread, Calypso Coral Candy Dot, mini glue dot, dimensionals

It makes me smile, too. I loved the first piece of this Bokeh BG that you used on a card: I like this "added value" version even more! This card is so cheerful and pretty.

Gorgeous, Nancy! I wouldn't cover that up either! I'm fond of the bokeh technique and love it even better with the stenciling over it! How cool this is. The simplicity of the design really lets that background shine!

Great card. Love your patience with the stencilling and you have done a wonderful job. The colours are just so pretty - specially when set against that crisp white background.
