This card is for the Featured Stamper challenge in honor of countrybeamer. I chose THIS card because I really liked the layout and the colors. I couldn't find any papers in my stash that would let me pull off the color combo, so I completely re-geared and did a pastel version for spring. I also doodled instead of stitching, because I thought that it would work well with the doodle-y design of the bird (and I was too lazy to get the sewing machine out, if we're being completely honest...). Lisa's card base was black but that was a bit stark for me, given all the pastels, so I just did a sliver-thin mat of black and put the whole thing on a white base.

This is such a fun card. I just love whimsical birds and this one is adorable. Your doodled boarder looks perfect with this stamp. Great choice of colors. Pinned to my "great boarders" board.

How cute, Sue! Love your long legged bird & your doodling is perfect. I'm w/ you...too much trouble to get out the ol' sewing machine. Usually, I only sew on cards if I have to get it out to do mending, lol.

Yes, I would never sew on cards if my sewing machine wasn't always out on my desk staring me in the face! I love your fresh and beautifully springy card!
