Love all the umbrellas! I have a serious "thing" for umbrellas..just love 'em! There were several that inspired me but my main inspiration came from the colors in THIS umbrella.
I started by sponging a white panel from the top left corner down using the yellow inks & sponging the pink inks from the right corner up. I die cut the center panel out of the larger one using the stitched rectangle then stamped the flower corner w/ black in the upper left. I added just a bit more color to the flowers and leaves w/ Copics & used a white gel pen in the flower centers. After masking the flower corner, I stamped the beaded string background w/ white ink & white embossed it. I wiped a bit of the ink off the lower edge to make it an angled background.
I added some crystals to some of the dots & some clear dimensional glue on the rest. A few extra flowers were fussy cut & added here & there. The umbrella was die cut out of white & also vellum, the center was replaced w/ the vellum & the lacy topper added along w/ greeting. I added a narrow white layer under the top layer then attached it back on top of the original panel.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff
