This is a retired 1999 set that I was intrigued by when I saw it on Ebay. I wanted to try putting it into a scene. I sketched the trees with an artist pen and used watercolor minis fern stamp for the leaves and to fill in the grassy area. I also sketched grassy patches with the pens and sponged the areas under the trees to make the whole thing look like it is in the distance. I hope I accomplished that. I finished painting everything and then decided to age it up a bit by roughing the edges by scrapping over my deckle scissors and putting Close to Cocoa direct to paper to go on the edges and directly on lots of the painted edge area.

WOW WOW WOW!!! I am so impressed by this card!! This went immediately into my Favorites. I have the Times & Seasons set and had never thought about using it as part of a scene. I LOVE the vividness of the colors. Fantastic job!!

Super-D-Duper, Kittie. You did an awesome job. The trees, definately look like they are at a distance. The colors are fabulous. I love how you put the jute with knots on the corners and the aging of the edges is perfect. The whole scene is phenominal. TFS
