I'm a new card maker so am still just learning. I know the Mothers Day stamp would have looked better embossed, however I don't have any way to do that yet (still can't afford the embossing powders, ink pad or heat gun...) so will deal with what I get with my memento inks till I can...which didn't give me a dark stamp on the green for some reason...but I still liked how this card turned out, especially with being new at it! ;-)) I had to make my own stamp, because like before...I haven't had the money to get lots of rubber stamps yet, so...will go with anything I can make till I do! :-)) Loving learning to blend...even if it is just with bic pens! :-))

Ahh thanks Lynn!! This is the 11th card I made...and third "stamp" that I colored. The other two stamps I haven't made into cards yet...sometimes it takes me a little bit to think of how I want to set it up, although this one didn't, I knew right away what colors of paper I wanted with it and it kinda made itself. LOL It's simple...but that seems to be how I do things, even though I LOVE the cards I see that are more complicated I can't seem to make those clusters of elements and have them turn out looking natural like everyone else's does...so simple will have to do me. LOL I used to digital scrapbook, and it was the same there. *sigh*

For starters I love your avatar name...dapperdoxie...I have spent a lot of time in East Timor and I take anti malaria medication called doxycycline, affectionately known as "doxie" LOL. Your card is terrific, don't worry about embossing powder and heat guns yet. 99% of the gorgeous cards here at SCS are not embossed. I hope you join in some challenges and share your lovely work.

I think this is fabulous! You have made a beautiful card with a limited number of supplies, which is an art in itself! Beautiful job, and welcome to SCS!

Well thank you JodyLynn! It's kinda out of necessity that it's with few supplies...cause even my new big kick had to be sent in for repairs...so I'm just using what I had cut extra...or what I can make myself with limited supplies when I do a card, till it comes back...but I still don't usually put lots on a card...guess I'm a "simple" person. LOL Thanks for the welcome!
