Well...I'm definitely a tortoise when it comes to card making. Sometimes I'm accidentally a hare, but that hardly ever happens. One of the reasons is takes me so long, is that I have to set up shop every time I make something & go get (or find) things I need. I don't have a room of my own :( Ok, so not counting set up, this took me a little over 3 hours. Hey, don't groan! That's actually not bad for me. I had to find the right color of ink (not easy when you have a jillion) and I fussy cut the basket.
My tip is how I colored the basket..with Copics & I heat embossed it. Since Copics usually "melt" the embossing I had to do it in two steps. Stamped the basket first with the Distress ink, color it w/ Copics then lined it up & heat embossed on top. I took a couple of pictures showing the process & how it looks before & after to better explain. They are on my blog: The Write Stuff
Thanks so much for looking!

Beautiful and elegant Ester card with the embossing basket and the lovely filigree-design eggs, Julie. The mauvy pink is a soft and sophisticated color.

Wow, Julie - that basket is stunning!! I think it's definitely about the enjoyment, I like having time to "potter" with my cards, just wish I had more of it. After reading your post, I will be more grateful for my current dedicated space.
You always photograph them so beautifully - you have to have a dedicated space for that, surely?
This is stunning!!!! Your designs are always exquisite! Thanks for sharing your steps along the way on your blog. I am running out of time so didn't leave a comment there yet. I am in awe! I NEVER have any luck with lining my stamps back up. You did a seamless job! Going in my faves.
