This week the teapotters are off to bring some cheer to Gabby's uncle. And Susie Autralia sure wove us a chuckle of a story. Whykickamoocow sure sounds like an interesting place to live! Susie you should write comedy, you are just a hoot!!!!! Well anyway, we are to bring touches of the wild west and this is the closest thing I have to old west, an old water mill. I stamped my image in soft suede onto crumb cake cs. I distressed the edges and then sponged them with soft suede ink. I popped that up over my soft suede and early espresso mats. Pretty simple and rustic. TFL ladies.

Nice card, Mary! There are several grist mills around the area where my Uncle grew up and where he now lives. That I know of, a couple are located in state parks and available for tours. I have never asked Uncle Gene if he has ever been to one but he may have. I have but not in IL. This image does conjure up thoughts of old settlements that could be anywhere. Like your neutral colors and layers of matting. THANK YOU for making this nice card for my Uncle. He will like it.

Mary this is terrific. I love the old mill and it looks perfectly in place for the Teaparty. Can you imagine how fabulous Gene and Nancy's mantle piece is going to look. Straight into My Favs with this. The colours, distressed layers...everything if perfect my friend.

wonderful image. love the soft color and how you edged it. I always thought it would be neat to see one of these IRL, or even better living near or in it...so cool...TFS..:0)

Ah, the ol' grist mill - it sure is looking mighty fine in the town of Whykickamoocow - a nice picturesque scene and one, I am sure that will please Gene as he opens your card! This COULD be the setting for his next western book!! Fantastic card!
