I made a card for my Dad's 87th Birthday. He turned 87 on St Joseph's Day 3/19- his namesake (Joseph). He has had a rough year healthwise, so wanted to make it a good one for him. The image was stamped and that was it- I added some flourish stamps in the background and a die and a Piccolo accent that I painted using Gesso mixed with stamped ink from an ink spot on the craft mat. I sponged over the dry paint to add a little more variation in the color. He is 100% Irish, so I wanted a Green color too.

Masculine perfection here, Shelly. How wonderful to have your dad at 87! this will be hard to believe, but my dad's birthday was also on 3/19. He wasn't named Joseph and was a non-practicing catholic. This year, we would have been 102. Sorry to hear about his health problems. I am confident your card made his day.
