Today's Free4All challenge was All About That Black, and I thought it would be the perfect time to use the Block Fill technique that I saw in a Technique Junkies newsletter a couple of years ago. I chose this card from the gallery of this week's Queen for the Day, Lee Ann (a/k/a Whippetgirl) to CASE. After stamping the cherry blossoms image, I drew a line 3/4" in from the edge and then filled in the block with a black Faber-Castell artist pen and doodled around the edge.

Wow, Lois, this is so striking. The black bg looks fantastic... what a great technique. I am not sure that I would have enough patience, but it sure looks fantastic. You chose just the right image for this technique. Into my favs.
