Simple Stencil Technique I learned from the STAMPlorations "ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop" last week. So fun with all kinds of prizes, etc. Thanks again Shery for a GREAT Time! The Blog Hop is over, but Shery has several more Challenges going on. I made my card for the March STAMPlorations Challenge: Stamps and Stencils. Great samples by the DT.
So many different Stencil Techniques are featured. I used a technique that I saw on used on one of the MANY Blog hop samples. I will find the card and link later.
You sponge distress or waterbased inks onto W/C Paper. Then spritz with water your stencil and lay over sponged card base. Let inks soak up stencil water a bit then remove stencil. As your piece dries the stencil image appears. Similar to a Bleach technique without the sticky smell! I used darker colors and if you use lighter sponged colors it will look even different. Of course, you never get 2 pieces a like. So Fun!
Great card, Nancy! I love the look you achieved with the technique! I may have to give this a try! I like how some of the circles are a bit more bold and I love the silhouette with the BG!

Your colors are so vibrant! They work well with the silhouette stamp. This technique looks fun and easy. I think I will try it with some of my distress ink. Thanks for sharing--and explaining.
