This card is for Sabrina's (Cook 22) VSN challenge to use a map on a card. Good thing the map takes a lot of work out of the card - I used up all the time coloring and cutting! Still - fun challenge, and perfect for this Stampingbella Uptown Girl that hadn't seen ink yet...
I didn't have any cardstock the color of blue that I needed, so I colored about a half-inch margin around the white for my "mats" with the same marker I used on the suitcases.

Old-style travel, got to love those suitcases!! I had a couple like that from my grandmother's; we only used them for storage because they weighed so much. I love the rich colours, they add to the retro feel of this.

Wow, what a great way to match colors - never thought of coloring in the border to match. Thanks for the tip! Your coloring is out of this world on the stamp! Such a great image!!

Love your Uptown Girl and the way you have coloured her! Those bright map colours really catch the eye. I'm glad I'm not hauling those suitcases though! :-)

What a wonderful image and a good sentiment to go along. I had not thought to make a mat that way....very clever. I love your card.
