This is for Lisa's WT challenge this week ~ WT522 Lucky Charms.
I had to think quite a while about this, it appears I don't nowadays really have any. But as I thought, I remembered my mother teaching us that it was lucky to say "Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits" on the first day of the month, as the first thing you said, and white rabbits were extra luck. So I've brought three white rabbits. Looking back, for a very rational, practical person my mother seems to have had quite a few superstitions; if we spilled salt we were meant to throw a pinch over our left shoulder.
As usual, when it works out that I can ;-), I've combined it with this week's challenge to the CCEE Stampers, to use green.
I used some leftover Bokeh background created for a recent inspiration challenge, (tutorial HERE) and thought the big soft white circles would work well with a dandelion image, so I pulled out Penny Black's Quite Dandy, and stamped it in Versafine Black.
For my image panel I took a scrap that had been stamped to make a pocket and stamped three of the bunnies on it and on a scrap of white card for piecing. I sponged in the grass. Black card base, and to finish it off I added two strips of Mizuhiki cord running across and lined up with the grass in the image panel.
Bokeh background left from an IC card. Stamped PB Quite Dandy in black. DeNamin bunnies stamped and fussy cut, then placed on oval (stamped with Canvas?? gesso), scalloped oval is pierced. Added SU Hello and some Mizuhiki cord.

Thank you so much for doing a card for my lucky charms challenge. Your BG is fantastic. I love these greens and blues and the bokeh is fantastic. I always love this technique and in the greens it is WOW! I usually do it in blues but I think I am going to need to do one in greens as your card is so refreshing with this technique in the green.

Sabrina, your card is so pretty. I love the bokeh background, you did a great job on it. I enjoyed reading about saying rabbits for good luck and the superstition of salt.
Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful bokeh! I never heard that rabbit saying until my childhood friend said it and said you had to say it on the first of every month upon rising....the salt is one I remember well also. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Sabrina!
Back to your card....that background is awesome and your trio is as adorable as adorable can be!
A double hit!

Wow! My husband's family would say 'white rabbits' on the first day of the month and I had never heard anyone else with that kind of a tradition until now! The things you learn on Splitcoast! Speaking of which I need to check out that bokeh tutorial. Your background really looks like the sun flashing off of dew in the grass and makes a wonderful backdrop for your bunnies. Great card!

This is such a great card! I love the bokeh bg with the dandelions, and those little bunnies are just the cutest! I can't even imagine fussy cutting something that tiny, especially without losing it!

Sabrina, I just love this bojeh bg... it is so happy looking, and adding the dandlion stamp was pure genius. Lovely shades of green make this such a nice spring card. And, who wouldn't love bunnies. The bunny I had as a kid got so big and fat that she looked like a long eared dog. The adfition of blue, the stitching, and the cord look fantastic.
