I made this card for Kim's VSN challenge called Scavenger Hunt. Oh my, I used up all of my time on this one. I just had seconds to spare. That's what I get when I am trying to use all of the bits and pieces of things laying around in my craft room.
For the recipe: my neutral kraft base has a torn front edge and a distressed back edge; my metal embellishment is the black eyelet in the top fo the anchor; my soft element is the burlap twine that I wrapped in a circle on my medium sized glue dot; my stamped image that you would find on an island is the stamped sand (but I didn't think that was obvious enough) and the sea gulls; my colored, dry embossed layer is the Pool Party bubbles that is peeking from behind the top layer; my doodling is also on the Pool Party bubbled layer with a white gel pen and at the top of the sand to create a little more separation between sand and sky.
Thanks for looking!

Wow! Love the layout and the way you tore off the edge. Love the rope on the anchor - so clever. Love the way you framed the sentiment. Basically I love your card.

Toni, this is fab! I love the combination of the anchor with that sentiment which is one I always like to use. I have to admit that I spent a LOT of time thinking and planning this one - I'm glad we don't have to count that!!
