This card is a simple, yet striking monochromatic card that could be used in any color combination with a sentiment for any occassion. I used Tangelo Twist cardstock, DSP, ink, bakers twine & button in this example

This is a light and pretty card! I wonder, though, did you hand-cut the background for the die cut? I was working with this set last evening, mumbling about the intricacies to myself! I do love these effects. Diane
Diane I used the Butterflies thinlits dies from Stampin' Up! to cut the butterflly. http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=137360&dbwsdemoid=2074404
I used a stylus to 'poke out' all the little pieces. TIP: Place a sheet of wax paper between the thinlit die and the cardstock and the die cut will pop right out of the die. I used a piece of patterned paper behind the butterfly. When I glued the butterfly back into the negative space, I only used glue on the body and let the wings 'fly' off the paper.
I hope my explanation helps you.
Thanks for your nice comment!
