This is for Joan's fun TLC challenge - a scene in a circle.
I spent hours and hours creating this background....liar, liar, pants on fire!!! I did a gelli plate background with acrylic paint, it turned to mud. When it was dry and I got over my hissy fit, I sprayed some dylusions ink onto al foil then swished the card stock around in the inky puddle.
Once it was dry I tried to spray some white dylusions ink onto the cardstock....the nozzle was blocked....I removed the lid.....the white stuff is all over my desk, but I managed to dab my card in some of it, and here is the result.
I added my new Lavinia stamps die...job done. Thank you for looking, if you don't hear from me for a while, it is because I am still trying to get the white painty ink off my desk.

Fabulous card Susie! I love your tribute to Spock and your beautiful background depicts such a mysterious and otherworldly night. I continue to laugh every time I read your delightful descriptions! TFS

Susie, you have the BEST accidents....that turn out marvelously!! The bg is sensational. Love your title.....he had pointy ears, and your pixies have pointed hats. Too fun....as your descriptions always are.

:-) like Sallie just said "you have the BEST accidents"
I wish my accidents turned out halve as good as yours, mostly they are a terrible mess, so much so the bin is the only place they are going.
Love the dreamy feel of you card.
Gorgeous die with a wonderful background.
TFS and TTFN... ;-)

Wow, and to think you started out with a muddy color and turned it into THIS! What spectacular colors you achieved, even with your accident! Thank you for the chuckles too! I have lots of those since I have a tendency to pick off all those daubers out of my distress stains and distress paints! I love how you are using the Lavinia dies to create your magical cards!

This has such a wonderful, magical feel to it, Susie. The white is so perfectly placed where it highlights the faces of your diecut. I always have to go to " plan B" when I use my gelli plate. It makes me feel better when someone as talented as you did not like the gelli plate result. However, despite the spills, you sure created a striking card.
Sweet card and a good save on the background. I have a gelli plate and love it. You're often able to just put on another layer using stencils and white paint to lighten up a background. Have you ever looked at Andy Skinner's work from the UK? He is the Tim Holtz of gelli plating. I had to buy his stencil of the little kids holding hands. It's precious.
