Hello,
I know I have told some people this story but I'll tell the rest of you who might want to read it. My mom gave me tea in my baby bottle (most likely sweet tea since she was a southern girl). I grew up with it and love it. We used to go to tea partys at a neighbor's house a couple doors down and she would bring me. After I finished my tea and the ladies were still talking, the neighbor gave me her button collection to play with...probably why I have a button collection now. I think I was born in the wrong century, should have been born to a "lady" and all I would be expected to do with my days is drink tea, read books and paint! Doesn't sound half bad!
Well, I've made my card an invitation to tea and hopefully you can read the little insert picture with the sentiment that will go inside. I didn't leave enough room in the photo to make the insert bigger, sorry!
Nancy-Stiz2003 is my inspiration for the hand stitching!!! She always does such nice work and luckily I used to do counted cross stitch before Tole painting, before Photography, before rubber stamping. I have all my cazillion cards of floss and needles.
I was actually inspired by the whole site in general but as we are expected to pick just one, here it is: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...7503ed7793.jpg
Thanks for looking!

Adorable tea pot and then repeated with the "live" tulips next to it. Pretty and feminine with the soft colors, eyelet trims and pretty teatime image, Robin.

This is so sweet and very ladylike. I love the flowers on your teapot and how you added even more tulips on your card..tulips are a fav of mine. The colors are just yummy together and so Spring-like, something those of us in wintery climates long for this time of year...Fun story

What a gorgeous invite! I love your tulip and pansy covered tea pot. Your stitching is beautiful done and the lace edging is the perfect accompaniment, making this both very feminine and elegant. Your talent never ceases to amaze me!
