This is Week 1 for the Stash Busters Challenge. Ann (Scrappy4 had us:
1.Dry Emboss and distress an accent - I also added ink to an embossing folder & double embossed a piece of the plain DSP then distressed the edges. The double embossing was a boo boo since the 1st time I had the ink & paper on the wrong side so I actually debossed. I didn't like the look so I did it the right way using the same piece of DSP.
2. Use a shaped photo - I cut all my photos using a Spellbinders Die.
3. Ribbon - I used a ribbon brad & threaded the ribbon through the loops then tied a knot.
In Stash Busters Week 4, we were to use rub on but I didn't have any or at least so I thought. I found several packages of them & they fit this layout so I used them on this challenge. I guess I need to re-organize...LOL!!
Thanks to Ann for all the February Challenges!! Lots of fun!
TFL!

Very cool, I like the shaped photos and the ribbon embellishment esp. It's always fun to find this stuff in the stash! I thought I didn't have "metal" accents for the last one until I started looking, woo..hoo...turns out I have several

Don't you just love it when you find your 'old' stash! Whoohooo! Cool that you could use them on this layout..kudos! Love the way your photos are laid out, and your dry embossing is perfect (as are the rub-ons) ;)

What a cute page--it's amazing what we can find in our stash! I don't paper scrap too much these days, but I do make some cards and I'm always surprised at what I can dig up!
I really like the way the striped and diamond papers contrast against the darker background and the progression of photos is fun!
