Well I fused with this for quite a bit and then gave up and went and ate lunch and ran some errands. I figured I'd toss this and start over. But my DH suggested I give it another shot. I am still not sure about this one, but you win some and you lose some. I started with a book page that I painted with gesso. Then I sponged on some inks and tried to spray with some green spray I made, but the bottle wasn't working well, so I sponged some of that on and didn't like it, so I moved it around with the sponge, which lifted the gesso and moved around the dye ink. So now I had a muddy mess. I responged my colors and sprayed with my gold smooch spray which gave me one good shot before that clogged. Then I stamped my greeting and embossed it with Wild Wasabi Embossing powder, which did not give me much contrast. So I used a marker along the image and greeting to create a shadow. I tore the edge, layered this and tore some more. I stamped the background clover stamp onto Wild Wasabi CS with Wild Wasabi ink, White Craft ink, Crumb Cake ink and after that was dry with Versamark. I gold Embossed the Versamark stamp images. The large clover was stamped with wild Wasabi ink onto white CS and sponged with Crumb Cake ink and then edged with Garden Green ink.

This is one of the coolest St. Paddy's Day cards I've ever seen! I'm so glad you didn't toss it! Sounds like it gave you a fit or two, but you triumphed - beautifully!

Kathy, that's a whole lotta work. I think your card is gorgeous. So things didn't work out the way you envisioned, but the card turned out great. I like your sponged area and you gold spray. I think everything came together wonderfully well.

Sometimes it takes a long time to make something pretty. I think you kept working through the ugly phase to find the beauty. I like it, and I'm glad you played my challenge!
