 | | About a year ago, I made a polished stone sheet, so I can't tell you what colors I used. I ran across the sheet, and pulled it out for this card. First I embossed the crown with gold embossing powder. Then I embossed the cat with clear embossing powder. Next, I embossed the peacock tail with clear embossing powder, then brayered over it with Night of Navy classic ink (Joseph's coat technique)
Using a gold Zig Painty, I outlined everything on the cat and the peacock tail, then cut them out.
On Tempting Turquoise card stock, I stamped the Simple Stripes background with Tempting Turquoise ink. At this point, I positioned the cat & tail, but did not adhere them. The "strut your stuff" and the circles are from the Such a Tweet set, and were embossed with gold embossing powder. Using the Rough Edges alphabet set, I embossed the "kitty gets cocky" with gold embossing powder.
Next I used the large corner rounder on the turquoise piece, then went around the edges with either a gold Marvy marker. That was adhered to Brushed Gold card stock.
I finally used stampin' dimensionals to attach the tail and the cat. A small glue dot was used to place the crown. The adorable eyes are from Michaels. They are google-eyes and have blue eyeshadow & black eyelashes. Using Scotch brand Quick-Dry Tacky Adhesive, I applied the eyes and the clear rhinestones. The cat is very 3D in person. |
