I'm working on my February quota for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge and using various challenges to keep inspired.
This is for Christmas Cards All Year Round's "red and white" challenge, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's "embossing powder" challenge, and Less is More "wings" challenge.
I stamped my bird in chianti pigment ink and heat embossed in a shimmery embossing powder. I bordered it with an inverted scallop die that kind of makes me think of holly so goes well with the holly leaves beneath the bird. Added an embossed background and put the whole thing on a red card base.
This is a CASE of a card I saw a couple of years ago but no longer remember who made it - if it was you, thanks for the inspiration!

Susan, you have such a wonderful CAS style...simple, but by no means "plain". This is a lovely Christmas card done in red/white with that striking cardinal image.
