A Pinterest board for inspiration featuring inchies....many done with embroidery. My inspiration was this PHOTO.
I owe a note of thanks to two sweet gals: Nancy(stiz2003) for introducing me to Bisters and Jo(Reddyisco) for sending me a PM to see if I was aware of this medium.
This was a SUPER fast card due to how easy this medium works to create bgs. This is my first attempt and I have a lot to learn. I used Paper Source's wood paper which feels like thin wood veneer for texture.

So glad you got some Bister! I can't wait to see what else you do with it. I've really been enjoying playing with it, but have only managed to post two cards so far. I love the Brusho powders too and have posted one card using them. Such fun to have new mediums to play with!
Love what you did - the Queen Anne's lace is perfect with the bister.

I can't believe how spectacular your first attempt turned out! I've gotten nothing but basic mud from my Bisters so far. This is fabulous!

Oh wow Sallie this is jaw dropping gorgeous. .....I guess this means I have to add Bisters to my wish list, straight after Brusho's (another Nancy product) LOL.

Sallie, I woke up at 3:07 am WIDE AWAKE. So I decided to check out the IC gallery and your card jumped out at me. I LOVE the BG you created with bisters. Never heard of them; and I was so inspired by your art, I googled them, found them, and - yes - I bought them - lol! Absolutely love the effect you achieved and this should be framed and hung on your wall :-)

Gorgeous background for your Queen Anne's Lace, Sallie. I remember bunches of them growing in the back field of my childhood home. We used to pick them, put them in colored water and watch the flowers change color. Thanks for the memory!

I knew as soon as saw your beautiful card just what image had inspired you Sallie! That background is amazing. I think I will have to get off of the fence and see about acquiring some bisters! Love the creative way you placed your silhouettes to really give a windblown feel! Super card!
