I have been looking for this rose pattern in my stash for a while and finally found it yesterday. While rooting in my stash I found some beautiful handmade papers that are at least a thousand years old...well almost ..so decided these things needed to be together. In keeping with my New Years Resolution something old is the beautiful handmade paper and the something new is the rose and the die used to cut the edge of the pink paper. I am not sure who made it..I think Sue Wilson.

Gorgeous! I really love the old/new thing that you're doing, and I think I need to revisit learning to tat - the sweet woman that started teaching me passed before I really learned...

I like your idea as well...good way to use some of them old things that got dust all over them, and you did so well....neat paper, but even neater yet is your pretty flower underneath the polka dots. LOVE dots and flowers...TFs..:0)

This is gorgeous Sue! I love that tatted rose. I can see it adorning a little girl's dress or a pretty negligé! I too have a pile of those paper's! You should see my SIL's stash though she is better at using them than I am. They work beautifully with your tatting! Very pretty border die cut; reminds me of a crocheted edge. - another domestic art I am ignorant of!

I think it is wonderful that you are keeping with your resolution to use something old and something new. The paper is lovely and so is your rose. Such a pretty card!!
