Lovely challenge! Like Lisa, I play/played quite a few instruments, and learned to play by ear before I could read music. I think we still have a saxophone around here, but no piano and I sold my little Eb clarinet years ago. I still have 3 guitars, so I'm happy
For my music card, the large treble clef was stamped, colored & fussy cut. I stamped part of the image on another piece, masked it a bit and stamped the bird & music bar. After coloring I die cut it & added the die cut & embossed fish pattern behind it. I actually die cut this twice out of the aqua & on the smaller one, I cut it across the middle & shortened it. Since the long oval covers the seam, you donÂ’t even see it. In between the two aqua layers, I put a piece of the Chalkboard paper collection.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Oh, I love this!! This is the first image that popped into my mind when I read the challenge! It is fantastic added to the other music stamp! You are brilliant! I have to think of another way to use it so I don't copy yours! O bother (as Pooh say)! I love it combined with the fish bg too! You are just too clever!! I love it!

Beautiful card with the HCA quote, Julie. Lovely coloring of your main panel. Love your treble clef and how the floral motif carries through onto your music portion. Wonderful matting and framing.

This is so beautiful, Julie! Love your pretty color combination. I admire anyone who can play more than one instrument. I played clarinet in Junior High, but it was a struggle - my hands are so tiny, I could barely cover the keys.
