hi there,
Congrats to Jean Manis for being the FS today. Here gallery is wonderful and I felt inspired by this card: Watercolored Iris by jeanmanis at Splitcoaststampers
I decided to make my card a one-layer card and I wanted to stencil my bkg. so masked the edges and rubbed Distress ink over my stencil and splattered with water to add depth. Next I inked up my flower stamp by colouring with my Memento markers then sprayed with water and stamped.
I stamped my sentiment directly onto my card front instead of adding a tag like Jean's card had on it.
When I removed the masks around the edges, I accidently got ink on the white so I sponged Distress ink around the edges to add a border and cover up my mistake!
Thanks for looking,

Great artistry....you covered that "oops " so well. I had one on my cherries, I was 90 % done and my sentiment did a small smudge from its edge, thought I stamped it carefully, hate when that happens and couldn't figure out how to fix, wasn't in a spot to add a pearl or anything so had to start over. Glad you could fix, and so beautiful this is. Like a soft water color painting for the wall. already framed...LOVE it...TFS..:0)
