This card turned out to be a truly mixed media card. I made my my drops of water a little differently than Lydia's directions for this week's mix challenge. I used a plain black ink pen to draw a horse shoe shape. I used a plain pencil to shade the drop. The shading closed the top of the "horse shoe" and then in the bottom right on the outside of the horse shoe. Then I added white higlights with white acrylic paint. I added a small dot of paint in the left hand corner and a line of white opposite of the small dot. I used my water drops to represent tears. The inside of my card uses Psalm 30:5b "Weeping may tarry for the night but Joy comes in the morning."

AMAZING water drops MariLynn! These look better than the ones I seen that are done with a stamp! The sentiment inside goes so perfectly with the water drops representing tears. So much to absorb on this beautiful card!

Your tear drops are incredibly realistic, MariLynn. It makes me sad that tears are falling so freely......but it is for a sad life experience. Beautifully done and very moving.
