This is my second card for the January kit for the Baker's Dozen Monthly Swap. Roxie is the hostess for January. She challenged us to get our "chic" on. For this card I tried my hand at the Urban Chic style plus a little Subway design, too. I cut the words from some Martha Stewart paper in Roxie's kit. I tried to keep it clean and simple for the CAS Challenge to put the focus on the words. This will be for my DH, so I also attempted to create this one more masculine for him. I wasn't sure if I succeeded; then yesterday, he saw the card on my table, picked it up and said he liked it. He thought the banner across the top was unique and liked the style of all the different words at the bottom part of the card. Success!! He liked his Valentine's Day card! He just didn't know it was for him. Thanks Roxie for the fun kit and for the inspiration for my DH's Valentine's Day card. TFL

Lucky you to have a pre-approved Valentine! I too like that banner across the top and the multiple words across the bottom. I will have to try that style. It is pretty but not too much for a guy! Lovely card! TFS
