Ugh, one of "those days" with card making. My DD asked me to make a card for the team to give a lady who helped them with hats as they dress up to support the boys' team at conference this weekend. She told me to make a "cute card." I think I froze in my tracks. I made another card, but it was "too cute" so I tried again with this one. I have swimming related dp on hand so I used the watery print as my base, and the tile print for my horizontal strip. I used a half circle sentiment which I inked first in Versamark then Midnight Muse and embossed in clear in order to have colored embossing in blue. I added a twine bow at top. I just know that I have swimming stickers in my stash somewhere as I'm getting ready to start DD's graduation scrapbook, but I ran out of time to search with all the time I wasted on the first card.

What a great idea - it definitely speaks of swimming pools and the panel on the bottom is definitely the view of the tiles on the bottom of the pool - while doing laps.

This card should make a slash. It's so pretty. The tile pattern for the swimming pool and the water-like paper for swimming in the water. It totally works! Also, it's a boys team, so it can't be too "cutesy". It's just right! TFS

Very clever use of papers!
