This is for Sabrina's great Try a New Technique challenge - WOW - white on white stamping!! I only have a little ink pad of white, sadly it has seen better days so I used Versamark and white embossing powder.
I have used this Unity stamp a bit lately so I thought I would alter the layout a bit by adding beads instead of extra feathers.
The beading phase swept through here about 10 years ago....I have enough beads to thread my way from here to Europe LOL.
After embossing the image, I applied the pink distress inks using the smack & squirt technique (smack ink onto foil, squirt on a lot of water, sponge onto card).
This looked more girly than I was hoping for so I flicked water on the card, waited about 20 seconds, then dabbed it with a baby wipe and before it was really dry I scrubbed on some walnut stain distress ink around the edges and a smidge on the card.
This was heaps of fun and a technique I will definitely do again. Thank you for looking.

Your background is awesome. I love how you do these. I sure do understand about the beads. I was going to make a lampshade with beads once. All those beads sure take up lots of space. You are smart to use yours. Maybe I need to start. Thanks for all your wonderful directions.

So smart of you to show us how the same stamp looks with a different technique - we are learning a lot each week, sharing these ideas. Those beads make a great embellishment - and the walnut stain really defines the color you used for your card!!
Beads are one thing I did not get into, but my little 4 yr old DGD already is stringing beads - so maybe I will have a little bit of support to try it locally here, the next time she comes over!!

I LOVE it and love that image! I'm also a bead freak, I collect them but they just sit there! I love how you added them to the feathers! That is brilliant. Of course, that background is phenomenal!

I love how you can take a stamp, and show so many different ways to use it. Love the look of the white embossing image on this card, and the colors.. Still smiling about the beads....never got into that craze. tfs
