For Linda's WTUI challenge this week ~ Ovals, which I was able to combine with Vicky's challenge to the CCEE Stampers, which was to use a silhouette stamp and include a sentiment on the front.
I broke away from my usual florals and pulled out this very old bird stamp. I used masking to sponge just the oval centre of the embossing folder with sunrise colours, after stamping and embossing the bird. Then I masked that off while I used the Faux Patina technique on the rest. I finished it off with some Stickles round the oval to help add definition and clean it up a little.

This is so pretty Sabrina....love how you have the oval background. Thanks for the deets on how you masked the folder to achieve this awesome look. You have one steady hand with the stickles. I like the added bling. tfs

What a sweet little bird and branch image with the pastel sky behind. I love the faux patina layer ~ must go look that up and give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration.
