This card has really tried my patience. What could go wrong did go wrong. It nearly ended up in the bin a couple of times. First of all I stuck the panel under the mermaid the wrong way around - I was aiming to put it side ways - I had stuck it down before I realised!!! Re Think Layout Time. In the middle of there was a huge thunderstorm - which didn't help either - water was going everywhere - with lots of hail and overflowing gutters. But I persisted and here is the final effort. I know it doesn't follow the challenge layout - its the best I could do while having a horrid day. he he he The background papers were made using gelli plates. I have rated this card a"5" - very frustrating and challenging. I think it probably qualifies for the Colour Challenge as well.

Your card is lovely and your coloring fantastic. I thought it was ironic you were creating an underwater scene card during a deluge! : ) A great way to combine challenges and no one would suspect that you had problem #1.

Beautiful. So glad you stuck with it and didn't put it in the bin because your coloring and image are just fantastic. Love the Gelli plate bg papers and the fun way you did the foliage. Pretty! Hugz

I love the brilliancy of your colours Helen! So glad you persevered because this is a fantastic card. Your little mermaid is very cute and so nicely coloured. Great background for an underwater scene. TFS

We all have those days! However, your perseverance surely paid off on this card : ) Your coloring of the little mermaid image is gorgeous and the gelli background looks amazing. And I think this DOES follow the sketch.
