I am working on mastering the use of Brusho powders. For this card, I used the purple and sprinkled it on coated cardstock, mostly at the point where the flowers on my stamp would be. I spritzed with water and got the concentrated colour right where I wanted it and a nice light splattering of colour around it. I love all the colour tones in the purple brusho - mauve, true purple, pink, and blue! I used my stamp positioner to get my flowers top of the area of concentrated colour and added a sentiment, a black border, and a few irridescent sequins (they came out very pink in the photo but they are less so irl).
It's for a friend who loves purple and loves flowers (and whose birthday I missed last week!).
I'm entering it in Loll Thompson's watercolouring challenge at Happy Little Stampers as Brushos are a form of watercolour. Here's the link if you want to join in the fun:

Fabulous Susan! I need to learn the secret of leaving white space and I think it's glossy! I haven't tried glossy yet but now I WILL! I LOVE this card and right into favorites!

Oh my Susan..this is absolutely gorgeous!! The colours are fabulously vivid and really make a wonderful background. I have never heard of these powders but will certainly look them up! Thanks for the inspiration.

This is amazing Susan. I love how the Brusho colour pools on the coated cardstock. Gorgeous colours and perfect with the beautiful silhouette image. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Happy Little Stampers! xx
