This is the card I made for the QFTD245 challenge honoring Kia (kiagc). Congratulations, Kia; you have a wonderful gallery filled with fabulous creations!
It brought to mind the hollyhock dies I bought in September and had never used.
The hollyhocks were die cut and a bit of shading applied with alcohol markers. I used a hole punch to cut circles from yellow glitter paper to back the blooms.
The flower pot was cut once from cs and once from adhesive craft foam. I stamped and embossed the cs flower pot and adhered it to the foam duplicate.
The sentiment was cut twice from lavender cs and once from the glitter cs. the lavender die cuts were layered directly on top of each other before off-setting slightly on the glitter cs.
To finish the flower pot I added a glittery bow.I arranged the holly hocks and adhered the bottom of the stems directly to the card. There are small dimensional beneath the large blooms; I used the 1/8th inch side of my Crop-a-dile to punch small circles from foam tape to place behind the smaller ones. I added the flower pot and sentiment and a couple of stray blossoms to complete the card.
As always, thanks for looking!

Your card is so charming - I just love it. The hollyhock flowers are beautiful and I am so pleased you used them. The stray petals so sweet, there are always stray petals somewhere in the garden. Adding the bow makes this a very special birthday card. Thanks so much for joining in.

Love how the purple hollyhocks stand out against the dark blue of your card base, and the yellow glittered centers and bow just add to its charm. A bold contrast to the colors Kia used, but they really look stunning!!

I love this card Jody! I can't imagine sitting there with itty bitty foam to pop all those blossoms! The coloring on the hollyhocks is fabulous. Love the subtle embossing on the vase too!

You are brilliant! LOVE the idea of using the hole punch to get some small dimensionals for behind the flowers. Thank you so much for sharing that idea. Your card is amazing and your detail work mind boggling. Love the embossing on the vase, the extra cuts for the sentiment and offset so the bit of glitter shows through. Love the glittered bow, and another genius idea to cut the vase once in the fun foam for more dimension. The details on your hollyhocks are amazing. LOVE this!
