This Sweet Briar rose stamp was on my "have to get" list and then it has taken me several months to use it!! Crazy! I embossed the stamp in white on wc cs and then used a watercolor technique that I learned in the wc class. Emboss the outline stamp, color in bits of the image w/ distress markers and then add in bits of water w/ paintbrush and let the water do the work. It's a fun technique but I need more work on the background (it looks subtler IRL than in the photo though). Just had to frame it with my aperture dies to give it that shadow box effect and to get that lovely stitched border. Frame is popped up for dimension.

This is gorgeous, Maura. The blue is so perfect even though you weren't happy with the photograph. The boldness of the color matches the intensity of the pink you used for the flowers.
So you're going to be hanging this on your wall then, right, Maura? I mean, it is a wall hanging, not a card? Because it certainly deserves to be hanging on your wall! It's a spectacular work of art in every way!! Thank you so much for linking it up in the CASology challenge! I appreciate your support for my NBUS movement!! Have a great week! Hugs, Darnell
