This is a birthday card for my BBF (since 7th grade when she starting taking organ lessons from my mom). Dessert: The chalkboard paper and technique is new for me as are the fabulous atyouSpica twinkling glitter pens. Those pens are SUPER COOL! give just the right amount of twinkle in exactly the right spots. I'm trying to make my cards more complex (taking tips from the weekly CC winners) and using "mixed media" in the layering process.
So, bottom to top: hand scored a border on the Bermuda CS, scalloped scissor cut around the strawberry slush CS then applied Sizzix embossing folder, straight cut the chalkboard basic grey CS, fussy cut the scallops around the hearts on top of the designer paper, embossed purse with Princess Pink WOW glitter EP, sparkled the shoes with twinkling pens, used 3 different ribbons for the bows, hot glued. Spellbinders DC Deckled Rectangle for the sentiment shape on scrap DP, copic pen edges BG01, BG09, twinkle pen on top of "wishes", attached with foam square. Inside: DP with corner punches, fussy cut strip, chalkboard paper with handwritten sentiment in gelly white. Envelope: DP, chalkboard paper for address patch, gelly white.
Whew! This card designing is challenging stuff - but so much FUN!
