This week's Merry Monday challenge is "Snowflakes" with a great inspiration photo that has aqua/turquoise blue tones in it (the colours I used are pretty close to it).
I borrowed the snowflake collage-type stamp from a friend and wanted to experiment with different backgrounds for it. For this one I inked up the stamp with Versamark and heat embossed with clear ep, and then sponged two tones of Distress ink over it. I trimmed it down with a rectangular die and punched and die cut small snowflakes out of the trimmings. I layered the panel and those snowflakes over a paler dp.

I simply love this card! It is definitely going into my faves. I've never tried sponging but with the gorgeous results you get, I'm going to have to try it. TFS
