I started by embossing the star background on watercolor paper using white embossing powder, then coloring a background with the peerless papers. After the paper was dry I die cut the stitched circle. (I initially wanted the star background to take up the entire card, but I didn't emboss it correctly, so I had to switch to a die).
I stamped and colored the little girl on some more watercolor paper, fussy cut her out after it dried. The sentiment was embossed using white embossing powder.
I wanted the watercolors to be the focus of the card, so I used a dark brown paper to mat it on.
