Faith has given us a fun challenge to end the year with......and ALL the words to Auld Lang Syne...who knew all those extra words existed???
Nothing has changed with me, I still don't read challenges properly - all that my scrambled brain took in was "friends and party hats". I didn't take in the lovely options of sharing coffee, running on the slopes or paddling in a stream. Instead we had a few Teapotters, rolling on the couch laughing and bringing in the new year, even Rover is joining in the fun.
The girls are wearing their very best PJ's along with colour-coordinated party hats!! Rover (RAK from our Stamperrobin) is an Ai stamp, complete with party hat. I made a template of his hat and traced around it and made hats for the girls. This is a centre step card, with the centre stepped back instead of the sides. The picture frames were made with circle punches and acetate.
I hope you all had a happy Christmas. Now for the worst part...putting away all the decorations and tree. I discovered a really quick way to bring down the tree, literally!!! I was vaccuming near the tree yesterday and without noticing I sucked up a bit of tinsel, I just thought the cord was wrapped around the leg of the couch, so I gave it a big yank and the whole tree (all 7 foot of it) fell over. In a panic I quickly pushed the off button on the vac....turns out it wasn't the off button, but the cord retractor button and before I knew what was happening, I got wacked in the face with plug from the flying cord, tripped on the tree and landed face first amoungst the branches.
No real damage done and it could have been a lot worse. It was an artificial tree, last year we had a real tree....could you image the water in the bucket spilling all over the floor - I might have electrocuted myself LOL.
Happy New Year and thank you so much for looking.

Laughing but not funny to fall! You have a vacuum with a cord retractor? I'm SO jealous! Mine has 90,000 feet of cord all twisted and needs wound.
On to your card. It's SO fun! Your drawing of the hats is fun adding to the charm of the AI girls! Love these step cards and the good time they are having. Your details are amazing including your framed 2015, the wallpaper and the photo on the wall. Your attention to detail is amazing! What an incredible card, Susie!

OMGosh Susie, what a FUNNY story! I know it probably hurt ... the hit and the fall and the pride ... but I had to laugh trying to imagine the event. Heeheehee!!! So ... your card is terrific. The gals are having a bang up time which is priceless. Great coloring, pjs and party hats. Looks like Rover is having a good time, too. The little punched pic frames and cute and I love the framed 2015 on newsprint. Terrific card!

Susie! Gosh I hope you don't have a mark from that evil cord end!!! Was your tree still decorated or had you taken off the ornaments? If still decorated, did you lose many ornaments due to your naughty vacuum? Oh gosh, I know how hard and stickery those trees are too! It is a miracle you didn't get REALLY hurt! You didn't did you?
I absolutely LOVE your scene on the center step card!!! I think Rover fits right in!! Heehee! Love your girls pajamas and hats!!! Oh, I want to do a card just like it!!! Well, I will have to stick it in my favorites so I can look at it anytime I want to! I love your frame for 2015 and love the pictures on the wall too! Wow! This is just perfect!

Oh my Susie, this card is such a hoot! I think I'm the gal on the end, practically falling backwards with laughter! You certainly do get yourself into predicaments! I'm so glad you didn't get hurt and that the tree will survive for another year.

A pajama party for old ladies (that is me!) What fun. I think they are laughing after reading your story. Your mishaps are a giggle although I am sure they are funnier the day after than when they are really happening to you.

Susie, this is such a fun festive card. Those ladies are just laughing and having a great time and are so super fun! I am so glad you were not seriously hurt with the tree falling and you falling over it. Oh my goodness! Hopefully not too many orniments were broke in the process either. Take care of yourself.
Oh, Susie! You said the tree was ok, but what about you, GF? A cord in the face and falling down! The card is fabulous! I am the first pj clad lady as that is my favorite color, teal, and love the fuzzy slippers! TFS
