Such lovely pictures on today's IC site! I was inspired by the colors in the pictures on THISpage. And for the bonus part, I stacked the nested stars on top of each other.
I chose the colors because I needed a birthday card & really didn't want it to look like a Christmas or holiday card. The largest layer of dp was die cut w/ the largest die from the Flourished Pattern set. I love how it pierces all around the edge when it cuts. I used the bg from the same die on the white & snipped around the outside stars in order to slip the next layer of dp underneath them.
Two of the white stars were white embossed then die cut. The middle star was stamped in red & a little blue was added then it was also die cut. The mini tags were stamped in red and blue then die cut and all tied up with some baker's twine.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Wow, this is sensational Julie. What a great idea to emboss on the white stars. The 3 little tags are perfect. Great design for a card that really pops right out of the gallery. Pinned and faved.

Julie, I totally love the dies and papers you used on this! It is so pretty and so festive for a birthday. While I would normally associate that paper with the 4th of July - you make it work as the best ever birthday paper too. Wonderful card. Hugz
