NO COPICS or Pencils were harmed in producing this card!!!! With the exception of the fairys dress (paper pieced from a background scrap), I only used gellatos to colour her. The skin was coloured with peach then I added a little bit of the colour called guava. Several purple and aqua gellatos were used on her wings, brown on her hair - I used an aqua pen and picked the colour up directly from the gellato. White dots are spots of acrylic paint.
The background is the usual Smack & Squirt technique - smack distress ink pads firmly onto a sheet of al foil, squirt on a LOT of water, then mop up the inky water with a sponge and swish over cardstock.
To get the different shades and tints I misted water in some places and in other places if flicked on water, then dabbed a tissue on it.
I stamped on the garden, dotty trees and sentiment, stickles, doodled a border then fussy cut the fairy and stuck her in place. The dress is paperpieced and I layered her wings.
Hope everyone has had a happy Christmas/holiday. Thank you to all the Mixed media hostesses - I have learnt so much from all of you. xx

Wow! That's an amazing image!!! Did you fussy cut the fairy? I just keep looking and looking at that gorgeous fairy! I keep forgetting to use foil with the bg technique. With foil you can save the unused ink, MUST remember to do this next time because it's my favorite technique.

Tripple wow, Susie. When your mojo comes back, it comes back with a bang. This was worth waiting for. I can't tell you how amazing it is. The colors are gorgeous..I know that guava is some sort of fruit, but I have never seen it as a color. Faved, pinned and left speechless. Stupendous!

I had to stare at this one for quite a while taking in that glorious colors and the coloring of that fairy! WOW on those wings and background again! I love the way you stamp on your mixed media! This is truly beautiful Susie!
Susie, you're a girl after my own heart. I love technique-ing and I'm going to have to try your "smack and squirt" technique because I love the effect. Your card is lovely and has such a magical quality. I have just started posting some of my cards but I have a lot to learn.
