CONGRATS to Myrna, this week's new FS! I adore and was inspired by her white pine branch tree card. I love the white tree but I already had lots of green branches punched. I plan to soon make a white tree. The pearls look great on the white tree but I decorated mine with gingerbread, candy cane and an ornament cut from my Cuttlebug die. As well, I personalized it by printing words to add to the tree. My bkgrd is MFT white snow dots on SU blue cardstock. I added some Lawn Fawn die cut stitched snowflakes, too. I added an embossed "blanket" of snow to put the tree on.
I was also inspired by several items on Joy's Packaging Pinterest board which was Audrie's IC inspiration site yesterday. Among the things I was inspired by, were the ferns on this bottle which reminded me of all the Martha Stewart, green pine branches I had punched previously to use on a card for a friend. These chocolate gingerbread reminded me of the Cuttlebug die-cut gingerbread I planned to use on the tree.
How could I not make the card after being so inspired?!? Hee! Thanks Myrna and Audrie. Because I already had the branches cut and "extra" ornaments and snowflakes in my stash, the card came together in about 30 min.
If you want more detail about how I made the tree, there is one other pine tree branch card in my gallery that has info in the description. Thank you--again-- Kittie.
Thank you for looking!
