This is my last card for 2014 and one that is so meaningful to me. I'm entering the card into several challenges today; MIX 99 - Holiday Selfie; CC509 - Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky; CAS303 - Add Some Sparkle
Many of you know that we have returned to the suburbs of Washington, DC (northern Virginia). This card is actually for our son and DIL this Christmas. I can't think of a better image to depict "us."
My color palette definitely has some olive, cherry, and believe it or not, I started with a soft sky Copic, but added some shading and now it's much deeper than the "Soft Sky" color challenge - I ask for Christmas mercy (she smiles)
The sparkle is never hard to come by is it ladies? I've added a Wink of Stella to the moon (I love it!).
Late last night I was sitting at my desk (I should say early this morning). I was looking through my wood mounted stamps, and came upon this wonderful whimsical stamp, Silly Scapes, from Hero Arts. Perfect she said!
The Lord came for all men, no matter their surroundings. I can't think of a better scene this Christmas than this one. The glow of the moon serenely beaming over a city that needs the Savior's mercy, love, and forgiveness.
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine
Merry Christmas sweet SCS friends. Enjoy the season. Lift your voices high. And let the story of Bethlehem wrap around your heart. We'll be traveling early Sunday morning to spend Christmas in Charleston, SC.
Hugs,

This is beautiful and so much of your heart is in this! Love the bright colors on the buildings as well as the beautiful sponging you added to the sky, giving an evening feel to it! This is also one of the most beautiful descriptions I have ever read! Merry Christmas, Susie!
